Anybody else NOT buying Deep Down because it's an ONLINE only game?

Only online only game I am excited about is the Division. Titanfall and this are a maybe, assuming Titanfall comes 6 months/a year after.

Though I will say if Deep Down is Monster Hunter online, my interest would rise quite a bit.

I get the impression it's going to be "dungeons and dragons", meets "Heavy Rain", but unlike heavy rain, everybody in your group online gets to make decisions that affect the story line and the overall outcome of the game.

Imagine like the fight scenes in Heavy Rain, but one person is controlling the hero's actions and another is countering with the enemies actions. Or two people are fighting off the enemies simultaneously.

Could be kinda cool if it works out like that, I could be completely wrong though.

I'm okay with online as long as I can still do single-player. No interest in multiplayer at all. But online itself doesn't bother me: Dragon's Dogma, for example. You CAN play it completely offline, but doing so you miss out on some pretty cool aspects like the online Ur dragon, renting pawns your friends have made, and being able to trade items. That's the kind of online I don't mind at all. It's more of an enriched single-player.

People have been calling this Dragon's Dogma 2 but I don't see it so far.

It depends on how they handle the online. I'm a sucker for action-RPGs with online play but if it's handled like Diablo 3 PC I'll have a lot of reservations.

Rofl hilarious all these only online = no buy. You know this is 2013?

Some of us would like to replay games 20 years from now and if the game is online-only, then expect your game to be a paperweight when they stop service.

I'm a slow, boring player. I might spend 10 minutes in an area just checking out the nooks and crannies. That play style really doesn't work well with most online multiplayer. As a general rule, no online only games for me.
