Not sorry enough to not ask you how on earth you think Microsoft messed up?

They messed up, obviously, by having an inaccessible second floor. The fact that they had Xbox Ones on the ground as well doesn't change that. Perhaps the raised section had games that the ground didn't, or perhaps there were big queues on the ground, or whatever. Without having been there, it's not possible to say what the differences were, if any. All we know is that people in wheelchairs wanted to go there, and couldn't.

The fact that Microsoft had consoles on the ground means that they didn't mess things up as badly as Sony did (unless you consider their basic apology messing up, which is arguable), but they both made the same mistake.

You are not using logic. Consoles were avalible. There is no need to make the second floor avalible. I would use an analogy but I fear it would fall on def ears. No you don't get a free console.

Regardless of whether it was a PR stunt or not, you can't possibly argue that one company offering a bystander (one that was handicapped, no less) a free product of theirs while the other said "too bad" to be a negative thing.

Sony and Microsoft reps could have both punched my in the face when I walked inside, but at least one of them tried to "make it right."

Consoles were not available on ground level. The guy who was handicapped went to play an Xbox One, and was told "Sorry, it's upstairs, you can't try it"

If that is the case then Microsoft did mess up.

Actually, I looked into it further. Microsoft did have Xbox Ones on the floor, but only certain games. The guy wanted to play Titanfall, which was upstairs only. Sony had all their PS4s upstairs, but technically some PS4s were playable on ground level, like at Ubisoft's booth for Assassin's Creed 4.

You can't say it was 100% out of the goodness of their heart. They probably wanted publicity like that Wii u got with the almost blind girl. They made this publicity themselves(not saying it was set up, but they saw the oppritunity) whereas nintendo wasn't even trying with Wii u

After my 3DS broke, I have now decided to leave gaming.
I will game again if there is an extremely good reason to start. (Such as Mother 3 localization)

Publicity or not. They still made someone's day. That's all that really matters.

Here's the original story: http://www.gamespot.com/forums/topic/29456848/sony-apologizing-to-disabled-expo-attendees-gives-free-ps4s-and-game-vouchers?page=0

& here is their own words: http://i.imgur.com/djWRTyc.png

Just to make it clear that these people wanted to play TITANFALL which only happened to be upstairs on the XBOX One booth. MS Dismissed them & Sony went out of their way to make up for their inconvenience.
