Do you think third party console exclusive games will die out this gen?

Topic.

With titles such as the ME Series, Dark Souls, and FF going multi gen last gen and looking as if more are going multi plat next gen (MGS series for example).

Do you think that most if not all third party titles will be available on multiple platforms this upcoming gen?

They essentially died last gen. Mid tier Japanese games will probably still for the most part be exclusive to PS3.

Playstation is likely to still have a few, if only because of the Japanese developers.

Sorry for not responding to the topic I got called into work for a couple of hours. I agree with the point that they basically died last gen, companies anymore are worried about their bottom line due to budgets, etc so it makes sense to go multi platform.

Definitely, becuase both systems are so similar. It's not as if PS4 is completely different this time and hard to make games for. For once, it's even easier to make games for then Xbone becuase Xbone uses Esram.

I can see Gears of War on PS4 this time and many others including Titanfall in the future.

Micosoft will be in trouble becuase they really don't have many big Ip's except the same old Halo, Forza, Fable and they always relyed on buying exclusives of devs, where Sony makes their Own.

THis could be a be factor next gen with SOny having so many more better first party developers then M$

Bull ****!

Everytime I listen to "Road to Saga" from the game Culdcept Saga, I'm reminded of how Xbox 360 got so many third party exclusives during its first few years unopposed that it was almost distressing.

To be fair to Microsoft, Sony and the Ps3 didn't give the developers many excuses to bust sweat in porting stuff over. That is why I have hope that development studios are warming up to the Ps4.

companies anymore are worried about their bottom line due to budgets, etc so it makes sense to go multi platform.

Only for the big, well known franchises. But the Japanese may still lean away from the Xbox in the niche stuff, and the development studios that like money will still hold their hands out for Microsoft.

Major AAA exclusives from third parties are a thing of the past unless one of the big 3 pays for it. Like dead rising on the xbox one. I see some RPGs and other things from smaller Japanese devs winding up Ps4 only.
