Doubt it. They wouldn't allow something like that to go through if it destroys the reader, I'm sure they tested that at least.

didnt the original phat ps3's have some serious problems with the blu-ray laser dying.... that's the reason mine crapped out after 2 years.....

That's why they made the thing with a 3 step replaceable hdd that you can go buy off the shelf at any computer store. If it's really that big a deal go to microcenter and get a <$100 2TB drive and quit crying in your cheerios.

I wouldn't call 2 years serious, but yes, there was a slight chance of readers dying.

Jesus, you make the worst topics. Unless you are digitally downloading your games, you will have WAY more than 10 games. Assuming all 500GB is available (I know it won't, but for argument's sake) and assuming that the partial install that stays even after the cache is cleared is an average of 5GB, you'll be able to have 91 games.

I think I will take the word of a professional over you. You act like I made this up. What a fanboy you are.

I'm going to trust a confirmed developer for PS4 over some random journalist.

I was thinking to make a topic about installing a bigger hard drive and which ones will work in the PS4, does anyone know ?

But those that have PS+ and like to download most of the games and save them (like me) this will effect most people with PS+ with all the free games Sony brings out all the time. That's why I'm thinking about getting a larger Hard Drive at launch but not sure which one I should get.
