So it begins - Last Gen = HD Editions , Next Gen = Ultra HD Editions

That's probably the true reason we don't have PS3 BC. They saw how much money they were making from HD re-releases so they want to continue the trend.

I couldn't be happier with them doing this. For the past 2-3 years console versions of multiplatform games have been TRASH compared to their PC versions. Games like Skyrim, Farcry 3, Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, etc... all looked and performed on a level far beyond anything the consoles were doing. It's high time EVERYONE had the opportunity to play these games in their intended form.

As far as stuff like Rayman goes, that already looked and ran as good as it ever will, but it's still worthwhile for Ubisoft to bring it to PS4/XB1 because a) there are plenty of people with those machines who haven't played it before, and b) neither of the machines are backwards compatible.

Still, if it's something you are against for whatever reason then the best thing you can do is vote with your wallet.

This all day every day. If you don't like it, DONT BUY IT.

I think he meant "Ultra HD." Not really Ultra HD. I also jokingly refer to Tomb Raider for ps4 as an "Ultra HD" game.

Well ultra sounds better than "Slightly Higher Resolution Edition." 1080p is called Full HD though.

No one who spends 400 dollars will admit buyers remorse.

The topic is true.

I don't really have a problem with this, so long as it is priced accordingly. Its not like anyone is holding a gun to my head and forcing me to buy them, but there are some last gen games that I wouldn't mind playing and if they came out on PS4 I would probably try them.

I thought 4k and 8k were defined as Ultra HD.

They are and neither console is powerful enough to render most games at 4K
