Does your religion prevent you from playing certain video games?

As a christian video gamer, for me it would be horror and the grand theft auto series. While I know it just a video game, I can't really get into because I don't like too much violence and we christians are taught that Jesus tells us to love our fellow neighbor. I do think everyone should have the right to play the video of their choice without having any backlash anyone. Nevertheless, I do play many games like skyrim, mass effect, etc. I can't condem anyone for playing games like the one I mentioned because it would be hypocritical me. How you do reconcile your religious views with the games you play? For me, I like to see what the "villian" see in video gives me insight that the world isn't always black and white as many would paint, but many shades of grey.

Assuming you're not just trolling, I have to know...you're saying that somehow killing people in GTA is wrong but killing people in Skyrim and Mass Effect is okay? How is GTA any worse than any other violent game you seem to be okay with? Also, how does being a Christian stop you from playing horror games more than any other genre?

Wait for it...........(the crapstorm that is).

That said, yes I believe in God or heaven / hell, but I don't let my belief interfere dramatically with my life. In other words, I don't walk around every day saying FAST FOOD is the DEVIL! Or gaming is the DEVIL. I keep it simple, don't kill, rape etc (irl). Even though the second part is oh so temping sometimes. HA! >_>

On a side note or more related note, I have noticed that I get disgusted or feel gross when I play games like The Witcher.
