Can't go back to non-HD consoles (for very long.) Is this normal?

Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings, and Rome: Total War are the only games that I still play that predates the seventh generation.

I honestly jump between all my consoles on a daily basis, from as old as the NES to as new as the PS4 or my gaming laptop. Doesn't bother me in the slightest. I even tend to game on a projector as well.

I can go back to old stuff. Though I do find it difficult on an hdtv. I wish I had a standard one around just for that stuff. I find myself using emulators on the Pc more often. Ps2 games especially are nice on it etc.

I played FFVI and Fallout 1 and 2 for the first time last year. No, I don't let graphics affect me. You have to just allow yourself to get immersed in the world. It helps if you aren't playing a brand new game alongside an old one.

SD games on HDtv's generally looking like poo doesn't help either, and I'm not hardcore enough to keep an old TV around just for old games.

Even then, there are a few I don't mind going back and playing, but it doesn't happen very often.

Lately I've been playing some PS1 and SCUMMVM games on my tablet though.... not sure if that counts lol

Emulators are a nice way to revisit old content -- details sucks, but resolution is higher.

PS2/Xbox and PS1/N64/Dreamcast are pretty difficult gens to replay -- the polygon era hasn't aged very well. SNES/Genesis games I have no trouble replaying.

Maybe that's just me though.

I just beat Panzer Dragoon Zwei for my Saturn. It was a little rough on the eyes, but very fun.
