Do you think the PS4 can reach PS2 lifetime sale numbers?

The PS4 has sold 9 million units (or shipped?) already, and it's not even a year since its release.

Is it possible to reach 100 million lifetime sales by the end of the generation?

The PS2 has over 150 million units sold worldwide. Xbox 360 and PS3 will probably barely reach 85 million each and thats after 9 years on the market So is it possible? Maybe but very unlikely.

I doubt it. Too much competition

It has no competition. So possibly.

Gen 8 will probably last what, 7 years? The PS4 could definitely reach 100 million by then. 155 million lifetime sales, though? Nah.

If these are the kinda games it's gonna pump out I highly doubt it. We need more than crummy AAA games..but hey they are pretty so they get a free pass right? Wrong!

It's not going to happen. The reason the PS2 took off was because of the included DVD playback. The PS2 wasn't just a great gaming machine, but it was a relatively inexpensive DVD player.
