So PS4 games require installs, and the 500GB goes fast?

I probably won't have a ton of games for a while, but if I do end up with a lot of them, I'll need to upgrade, right?

And if you do delete the data, you'll have to redownload everything (including the patches), right?

Yeah, pretty much

Yeah, the game install is also where the patches and DLC reside at the moment. Would be nice to have a sorting option in the future; that way you could lose the game install, but keep the DLC and game patches if you planned to install again later.

If I remove an installed game and then later on reinstall it, will my saved data still be available?

Darn. Any chance Sony will fix that anytime soon, and do they even recognize the issue?

Yeah, the game save data is stored separately from the install.

games install from the discs in less than a minutes. It's not a big deal at all if you need to delete some to make space.

DLC and such can be re-downloaded in the background, so no worries there either.

Yes. More so if you have PS+. Saves in the cloud so you can delete what's on your hard drive.

Well, that's good. It'd suck if you have to start all over.

Anyway, is upgrading the hard drive simple to DIY? I don't wanna mess up.

Someone made a topic about it, it never got stickied though.
