Parents # 1 question this holiday: "Can they play their old xbox games on One?"

#1DQAbelPosted 5/23/2013 9:04:07 AM
A: No

Question # 2: "Can they play Minecraft? Or any of the games they downloaded?"
A: No

"Well he wants the new CoD. How much is this thing?"

A: "$500 but if you sign up for a 2 year contract for $15 a month its only $300."

Question: "oh, then will they be able to play their downloaded games?"

A: No

"well he really wants the new Mario Kart. What would you suggest?"

A: You can play all your old wii games, the new CoD and Mario Kart on the wii u, and its only $300 with no monthly fee"

I work in retail and this holiday is going to be a nightmare telling every parent that all the games they bought over the last 2 years will not work on the One. and they can't play minecraft.

Question: I would like to return this game?

oh no what do we do? what do we do?

Yes. In fact those are the majority of the questions parents would ask when buying a new console for their kids. But it'll mainly be the first question.

can't wait to explain to grandma how it needs to connect to the internet every 24hrs and every game has a code and needs to be installed before you can play then.

No this game cannot be returned because you downloaded it and can play without the disc.

oh well i will just trade it to his friend.

My parents arent. They have no idea what which console is and what it looks like or what games are released and what franchises are popular. It's just not what their generation was into.
