Why only hate on gamestop?

A lot of other major reatailers sell used games and items, like amazon etc. Why only hate on Gamestop. Most of the time amazon has a cheaper used copy than gamestop, and best buy a goid portion of the time has better trade-in deals.

Because Gamestop is a terrible company, period.

Probably because GameStop gives a dime and sells the used copy more expensive?

What business that buys and sells used products doesn't buy back at low prices and sell for higher than they bought it for? People always make this complaint, and I assume they've never bought... well anything used before or sold anything that could then be resold.

And please dont bring up things lke Craigslist or Ebay. An item only sells on that site if there is someone who wants to buy it. If you have a somewhat hard to find game on there or live in a area with an active CL community, sure, you might get back nearly what you spent on it, but if the game is easily found or you live in a remote area, you could end up getting even less than what you might get at a used game store, and thats if anyone buys it at all.

Just like saying "Nickelback is the WORST BAND EVAR!!!!" or "lolCoD" is the knee-jerk response for anyone trying to discuss a game they like, hating on Gamestop has become the internet's go-to bandwagon mentality. Like the other examples, there may be valid, personal reasons why you might dislike GS(maybe your store has crappy customer service) most of time the hate is both irrelevant and blind.
