24hr check doesn't equal always online?

So to those of you that state this what happened since if I never connect to the Internet will I ever be able to play a new let alone used game on my fancy new console? Because my 360 has only been connected to the Internet through silver here and there and only to download and xbla game.

If you never connect the Xbone to the internet you would indeed be Xboned.

You need an internet connection because Microsoft doesn't trust that you didn't steal your game so you have to be logged in once a day to prove you're not a criminal.

it's not technically, but the games themselves could be depending on how reliant they are on the Cloud.

A periodic check doesn't equal always online. If it did, then Steam is always online by that definition.

Once a day is not the same as always. The internet could be out the rest of the day besides when it checks and it will be just fine.

I believe the finer details still haven't been confirmed yet. I was under the impression it would do a 24hr check if you plan on playing your games without the disk, but you CAN play offline but you will need to you your disks. That's how I've read it as they've said the machine will work if you don;t have the internet.

Actually, Microsoft stated that any game that uses the Cloud for processing must find a solution for if the cloud is unavailable.

Although, I guess it's not certain if they mean an acceptable solution to be "sorry you cannot continue at this point."

You can watch bluray. That's it, from what has been said by MS VP Phil Harrison.
