3D View of an XBO (See it from behind!)

The first thing I like to do with my electronics is spin around and see what I have to work with. (Please save all dirty jokes until the end.)

So, guessing what these things are from left to right:
1) Power chord input. This be what makes it go.

2) First HDMI port. I feel it's important to note here that there does not appear to be anything but HDMI ports in terms of visual. This means if your TV your TV doesn't support them then you're Sure Outta Luck.

3) Optical Output. I will say one thing about the XBO: it's a godsend for anyone who has a lower end sound system with only one optical input. You can buy a switch but it's a pain in the ass to get up and turn it every time you switch inputs (especially for me since mine is about eight feet off the ground :p).

4) Another HDMI port. Those in the comments section are suggesting that one of these is for your cable/satellite box to plug into. Suddenly wondering what the Hell I'm going to do with my Logitech remote . . .

5) Two USB ports. So you can add a second HD if/when you manage to fill up the first. You know, it also needs to be said that I can't see any ports on the front. I guess that means there will no options for wired controllers (unless they're well hidden).

6) Kinect input, I think? You know, the thing that monitors your life signs so it can determine tell it's overlords what your organs will be worth on the black market.

7) No freaking clue at all. It's awful damn small and might not be finalized.

8) Ethernet Port. For the "Internets."

Thoughts? Things I might have missed? Seriously, what the heck is number 7?

Honestly, the more I look at it, the more I like the design.

Never really had a problem with the physical design. It looks like most modern consumer electronics. That might not be very exciting -- some might argue a bit soulless -- but there's a certain advantage for not standing out in your cabinet.

Optical support is nice. That's my biggest gripe with the Wii U. The fact that the One won't support my $300 headset renders it a bit redundant though (and the fact that I will never, ever buy one).

Looks like a 3.5mm jack, even with the steel internal pins?
