This is my favorite part;

Take-Two's stance on used games, Zelnick said, is not to "whine" about missing out on revenue, but rather to focus on creating compelling experiences so gamers do not trade their titles in.

"Our view about used games has been, as opposed to whining or figuring out ways to punish the consumer for buying used games, we've figured out we better delight the consumer," Zelnick said.

I'm not a fan of the GTA series, but this guy seems to get what is wrong with big time game publishers.

JRPGs rule! Apparently, buying used games makes me a thief. I also steal cars, PCs, CDs, and DVDs. Oh yeah, JRPGs rule!

I wish more executives thought this way.

This is the exact opposite of the big publishers now.

This has always been the best way to make products, but the industry instead has decided that since their competition isn't high enough to worry about losing too much money is to just try and take anything they can from gamers instead of going above and beyond to satisfy them.

Of course they also think MMO's are doomed to fail in north america.

Totally forgetting that MMO's so far have been half a__ed cash grabs. That tactic only works in Asia.

That is hood thinking. There are games i would never trade in due to how much i liked them. Demons souls and dark souls come to kind.

You understand that's the main objective of DLC right? To entice you into keeping that disc for at least several months as they gradually release it.

Gamers whine about that too....until these developers become charity organizations and start handing out the content to the downtrodden working man gamer for free, those gamers will never be happy.
