because it is an interactive HD DVR box. you will be able to watch on demand from HBO while grinding or playing MP. without the use of screen hopping.

it will stream line the entertainment experience...aka make it easier for lazy people.

lol right you'll still have to go to the other remote for all your pay per view, on demand and dvr stuff

so in reality it one be the only ONE thing in your entertainment center

it will be at least the 3rd entertainment device

your cable box
Your surround sound amp
xbox one

and if it doesn't play 3D blu rays it will be my fourth

it will replace your cable box, on demand, everything.

and if it has a blue ray player, which its already confirmed that it does, it can play 3d. the 3d comes from the disk, not the box. you just need a 3d compatible TV.

so essentially it will be the xbox one/surround sound combo and thats it.

It is all speculation at this point as none of us have an idea what the scope of the feature set for supporting TV is.

My guess:

You use the HDMI in and connect your cable box to it.

The IR repeater in the back can control your cable box.

I doubt it will have DVR capabilities.

Again, just a guess.

I don't think that that is necessarily accurate. I would say it supplants your cable box. Again, the HDMI in and IR repeater in the back is evidence of this.

Well, like I said, we are all guessing here.

There has also been reports that Microsoft will have their own add-on as an option (maybe to replace said cable box.)
