Aye second part should have good news 'the game' may be on both, it won't look like what they showed but neither will anything we have seen from 3rd party. :/

"Itís possible to use Partially Resident textures both on PS4 and Xbox One. Itís the same technology as the Mega Texture used in Rage by id Software and the DirectX 11.2 Tiled Resources technology flaunted by Microsoft at BUILD 2013 is pretty exactly that. Panta Rhei Can do it as well."
So can we put to rest the whole directX 11.2 exclusive tiled resources argument?

All they are saying there is, the 'game engine' they have made can use PRT (PS4/XB1) and can also use Tiled Resources (DX11.2 PC/XB1).

Article could use a repass on conversion from JP source. :D

Maybe they should just use OpenGL and target the largest market.

I don't trust game companies to be that smart though.

11.2 is Windows 8 only
OpenGL is Windows (all versions)
Linux (all version)
PS4
PS3

And OpenGL performs 10% faster than DirectX.

I know OpenGL is faster, just DirectX has more of a user base. The engine they made supports Tiled Resources (11.2) does not make it only 11.2.
