In Canada, This weekend Walmart is selling the White WII U basic model for $199 canadian monopoly dollars or $194'ish US dollars.

Is this something that can hurt pre-order numbers for the XB1 or Absolutely nothing?

Best Buy in Canada is also having the sale.

No.
If it were the deluxe model with Mario Kart or Smash included as a pack in that would seriously impact PS4 sales and even dent Xbox #1 sales.

It explains that he's one of the vast majority who believe in American exceptionalism- an idea pumped into the minds of those easily swayed by slogans. You know the people I'm talking about- those who are "proud" to be born somewhere; something they had no part to play in and had no choosing whatsoever. Those who think that being in a war is great because freedom is being protected. Same people who think Canada is goofy because you have milk in a bag.

Anyway, no I don't see a $200 Wii U as a threat to Microsoft. Does Jeep get worried when parents buy their kids a power wheel jeep? It's two completely different markets

No, I had a Wii U and the system isn't very much fun. Sure I was able to play Mario and Super Smash Brothers is coming out but for me that's about it. The console, like the original Wii, isn't next generation material and a permanent price drop is necessary. While the Xbox One is $500 and may be out of the Wii U price range, the PS4 is $400 which is only $50 more then the Wii U top tier unit. A price drop would increase sales to those on the fence but in no way would take sales away from Xbox One because the Wii U is still considerably lower and available now but still doesn't sell.

Sorry if that makes no sense... I'm all over the place this morning.

The controller itself is over $100, Nintendo is in absolutely no position to push a $200 price tag on this thing.
