This should be a smash hit. This is like ground effects for the DS4. Should make all the ricers and fart-can Civic fans happy.

lol, so the light that you can't turn off designed for use with the camera that was supposed to be included but was cut to undercut the Xbox One price does more than just needlessly drain the battery of your controller.

I'm just confused by the LED lighting on the control pad. Did they really just include it on all controllers in case the end user wants to buy the PSEye later down the line? I have hardly heard anything about PSEye developments, is Sony planning to back it and if yes why is there so little talk about it, if no well then obviously why put the light on all the controllers?

When you put it that way it really sounds cobbled together and last minute. Sony seems desperately trying to entice a casual crowd but is really fumbling in their efforts.

Just more evidence that the PS eye was supposed to be included with every PS4 but was cut to undercut the xbox one price.

I get that, gamer choice and cheaper price, but then why is nothing being heard about Eye games or move-related game features like tilt

The forced Sony bashing here is hilarious...

But I do actually think that's a legitimate problem. Not exactly huge, and somewhat easily fixable if it does become an actual problem, but I don't really see any reason the light can't be shut off. Even if the Eyetoy had still been attached, they should allow you to turn it off when not using it.

It's far brighter than the lights on the 360 or PS3.

The Xbone controller uses invisible IR for the same functionality. No need for tape.
