I'm waiting for the redesigned Xbox One that will no doubt be released by the end of 2015.

At some point, yeah. Probably about the time when kinect fails due to publishers realising they're spending money on features no one really cares about, the kinect becomes unimportant and Microsoft release a kinect less version. I estimate around 36-48 months from release. I like the console, I just don't appreciate paying for an expensive peripheral I most likely won't use.

Until the kinect proves otherwise, I'm treating it like Siri: fun, but far less useful than manual input.
