Any point staying awake for the MS Gamescom event?

I work nights, got home and walked the pooch about 30 minutes ago, and I realise the MS event starts in 1hr 40m here in the UK.

I know the're not streaming it, but was wondering if any site is doing a live news update or something.

Or should I just go to bed, ensuring I'm fresh and awake for Sony's conference at 6pm?

I'm sure there will be a live news updates on some of the major sites or even twitter.

Such a shame there isn't a live stream of the event though, not that I'd watch it in Aus anyway.

I thought MS conference wasn't going to be public.

There's nothing to stay wake for, except Sony's conference.

Who are they presenting to?

Well, Astute, it depends...Do you want to get an early jump on your Xbox trolling? Get back all those nasty phantom people who you think you're getting revenge on for your years of PS3 board woe? Or do you want to be an actual gamer?

Press today. Public tomorrow. 100+ consoles playable and lots of updates from game reporters. Their biggest audience is probably going to be dead asleep. So I don't see the point in live streaming with all those reporters there getting video interviews and gameplay to upload later.

Screw it, I'm off to bed then for some kip. I'll be fresh for the conference with the better console on display later anyway.

Cheers, lads.

With TGS a month away, and considering how low-profile the euro market is to both Sony and MS, i doubt they'll have anything exciting or new to show. They're not wasting their bombs on Europe
