X1 basically useless in Aus

This v article states at the bottom that voice command will not initially be available is Aus.

We've also had no confirmation yet that dedicated servers will be available in Aus.

No confirmation on how TV will be integrated with x1.

Those are really the selling points of the X1 and both aren't confirmed to be available.

I'll need some solid evidence that these things will be coming within weeks of launch otherwise I don't see much point forking over $500 for something with half the features.

The ps4 may have no exclusives im interested in, and I do like the X1 exclusives, but I could always pick them up at half price in a couple months.

I just want to send out a bit of a warning to Australian gamers so they know what they're in for.

Australia is probably a "tier two country" in Microsoft's mind.

Like Japan.

Our accent took a while to tweak for original Kinect.

Poor not to have it released on time.

Does this mean the Xbox One will blow up if someone says "crikey" by mistake? What if they search for a "wallaby"?

the bitter truth is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. ~ Anton Ego

It is an English speaking country, but the voice command would have to be reprogrammed to understand Ocker
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocker

"You beaut"
"She'll be right"
"Throw anther shimp on the barbie"

Those kind of terms will confuse the hell out of Xbox.

(I live in Australia by the way)

Kinect voice controls will not work in Australia because MS has not yet figured out the meaning of the word "crikey", which is the most used word in the Australian dialect.
