Xbox 360

512 DDR3 - 22.40 GB/Sec
10MB Dram - 32 GB/Sec

PS3

256MB XDR RAM - 25.6 GB/Sec
256MB VRAM - 22.4 GB/Sec

Xbox One

8GB DDR3 - 68 GB/Sec
32MB Sram - 204 GB/Sec

PS4

8GB GDDR5 - 176 GB/Sec

You're gonna have to work real hard to explain why the 10MB of Dram in the 360 outperformed the PS3's broader access to memory, but the Xbones Sram won't do the same to PS4's.

Not really, because it didn't. The answer is right there in your own post. The reason the PS3 struggled with RAM is because it only had 256MB of VRAM, unlike the 360, which has 512MB of unified memory.

after reading through this thread a little bit again. I have decided that DM's problem, isn't necessarily that he's an idiot, but that he is a blatant extreme fanboy. And if he perceives that someone is talking negatively about the Xbox one, then he has to argue with them and try to find any and all faults in their post, be it grammatical error, or a number being 1 off, just to try and discredit them, because deep down he knows he's wrong, and if he argued directly with their point instead of focusing on any small fault in their post, he would lose instantly.

This is actually an interesting approach, and has worked in some cases, when people don't feel like having to explain themselves again. Which makes it look like he's won an argument, even though he's wrong. He puts PC stats in his sig thinking that it makes him look smarter, just to try and back up his points.

Basically, he's taken Sony's Ps3 reveal E3, and was like "Attack the weak point for massive damage? ... That's genius! O.O" Which would be a great tactic in combat. And it is effective for trolling. But if you don't want to look foolish to most people, you're not going to sink to that level. But it appears he doesn't care, because he is only looking for the support of other Xbox fanboys, which he has.

If I was able to be a fanboy, I'd be one of the 360 considering I've been on it this whole gen, thankfully, I have a wider field of vision, and it allows me to choose products based off their merits instead of blind fanboyism, I get much better enjoyment out of gaming this way.

Which is why i'm not even going to bother wasting my time with him . He's just a waste of time really.

Wow, what a joker. This guy comes in, pretends he is unbiased for like two seconds, and then immediately descends into the same crap as anyone else. Just another troll trying to jump on a bandwagon.

Its funny only a few posts ago, this guy was saying "people insulting you isn't grounds for insulting others" yet he sides with people who attack me first for things I never said and makes silly, incoherent and false arguments.

@Sors

You should read up on the subject. Its a simple google away. EDRam is a vital component that makes the Xbox GPU stronger. Without it, the GPU is considerably slower than the PS3.

We're talking about bandwidth.

The PS3 had a total of 48GB/sec to 512MB.
The Xbox 360 22.40 GB/Sec to its 512MB and 32gb/sec to only 10mb of dram which 95_Eclipse said is gonna fill up fast so it's basically useless right?

PS3 had more than twice the bandwidth to its main memory than the 360 yet even in PS3 exclusives had to cut corners for bandwidth intensive functions. Why?

This is the trolls game. They come in numbers and pretend to be normal posters. All of a sudden you, the respectable poster are made the villain while the clown insulting you goes by unscathed and is made the victim of your assault.

If anyone is gonna claim to be unbiased then call out people from all sides fairly, but notice the trolls roam around without any of these so-called bias free posters saying nothing to them.

I'd just stop posting to the dude honestly. You're wasting your time.

You can't just add bandwidth up like that, overall Xbox 360 had about the same bandwidth for CPU and GPU functions as the PS3

PS3 had a slight advantage on cpu.

Do we trust you or the dozens of comparisons online that claim the Xbox had a better GPU despite PS3 having the much faster XDR ram but the PS3 was stronger because it had the ability to offload graphics processes to the Cell?

He says the PS4 is more powerful. Isn't that what everyone is saying? The question is how much more powerful is it. Thats something we will know when the console launches since if it was a lot more powerful, it will be immediately noticeable in the games.
