So what is the reason behind the boost if PS4 is still more powerful?

Is this a serious thread?

Don't improve at all if you can't become better than your opponent? Dumbest thing I've ever read >.>

Since when does having the best tech specs make the CONSOLE the most capable?

The Original Xbox was way better TECH-WISE than the PS2... nobody, switched consoles because of the TECH.

The Nintendo Wii was sold out in stores for almost 2 years... Worse Specs than the Original Xbox.

DreamCast had better tech specs than its competition, and before the Xbox Launched was already off the market.

The answer to the boost... The system is more optimized now... and this means that Likely a Hardware Expansion can be made in the future, to make the console More powerful, simply by plugging in a part, which would likely be included in a future build of the console.

I would much rather have the Optimization now, than worry about it 6 months from now, or a year.

Guess that is why PS2 and PS3 sold better than MS products

Multiplat games are often planned around the weakest console (excluding the Wii series because because many developers don't bother with something that comparatively weak). The less weak it is, the stronger multiplat games will be.

Now the Xbox One is holding back the quality of multiplat games less.

Consoles, in general, are all doing that.

So the average computer is more powerful for gaming than PS4? Because without consoles developers would design games based off how strong the computers the common gamer has are, not how strong a homebuilt powerhouse or highly-priced model is.

After about a year, yeah. The average PC will out perform consoles.
PCs upgrade after mere months. Consoles upgrade after half a decade.

Actually the current PC is more powerful than Xbox One and PS4. Look at Eurogamer comparison between watch dogs PC and PS4 version!
