Just annouced its a new device that acts as a even more portable Vita

You can connect your Vita games to your TV and access remote play from your PS4 on any tv you connected it to while using a DS3 controller or 4 i assume

New device that acts as a roku box/apple TV that hooks up to any tv and allows you to stream off of your PS4. Also allows you to play PS Vita games on your home television....

... also does remote play. turn on your PS4.. plug the box into any other TV and connect via internet to play whatever is in your PS4

I just watched the conference. If I understood it correctly Vita TV is something that links the PS4 and the Vita together and to the TV wirelessly. It essentially gives the PS4 the positive features of the Wii U and the Xbox One.

Now, will it work in practice? Not sure. It also looks rather expensive (the price translates roughly to about $150 US).

For the ability to play my PS4 while at work by just bringing my controller with me.... I'd pay $200

So I can play PS4 games on the TV in my room through the Vita? That would pretty much make any TV I have my PS4 as long as I am within range of my Wi-Fi...

I need a new Vita...

[edit]

Wait, it is a box I connect to TV-B which connects wirelessly with my Vita, which connects wirelessly through my router, which connects wired through my PS4 to play my PS4 games on TV-B instead of TV-A...

[edit 2]

So it is another option for remote play than just Vita. You can remote play through Vita or Vita TV?

No not through the vita. Through a new device. That device will plug into any other tv you have and THAT will remote play your PS4.
