Ryse is 900p, Killer Instinct is 720p, and DR3 has a "dynamic" resolution.

Well there goes the idea of xbox one being my 1080p gaming system on my 67" DLP. Forza might be in 1080p but it doesn't look good if that's about the only 1st party one in that resolution. might have to rethink my next gen gaming purchase.

Honestly LMFAO @ anyone who thinks high res = good gameplay experience. Its far more important games run smoothly and are fun. If that's what you're basing your gaming purchases on you are dumb for not just getting a PC.

For everyone else...who the hell cares?

On Ryse, they need the additional computational power for the complex gameplay.

I'm curious to know what a "dynamic" resolution means.

And I'm curious to know how Killer Instinct went from confirmed 1080p60 to 720p60. In fact, Digital Foundry reported that it (almost certainly) WAS running at 1080p60 at E3.

Digital Foundry lied or it was running on a PC.

It was confirmed by a few sources that most ( if not all) Xbox One demos at e3 were running on high-end gaming rigs.

Ryse - surprising. Its mot as if the game looks all that good tbh.

Killer instinct - no idea why its 720p. Possibly to maintain 60fps with loadsa effects.

Dr3 - dynamic framebuffers are nothing new. Wipeouthd has one, and you cant tell when its being used.

The sad part is that everyone expected the xbone to do 1080p(xbone fans obviously). LOL I like how the xbone supporters are now saying that graphics do not matter. Yet they can call the Wii U underpowered and so last gen.

Face it - gen-8 won't be 1080p@60fps standard.

Like with WipeoutHD on the PS3, the game is set at 1080p60, but when there is a lot action on screen, the game starts to switch to lower resolutions to maintain the frame rate.

Wouldn't it be really jarring if it switched resolution in the middle of the game?
