Ryse is native 900p. Forza 5 is native 1080p, but X1 will upscale Ryse to 1080p. I heard that Killer Instinct 3 is 720p, so that will be upscaled too.

So much for "next-gen" gaming...
More like next-gen gaming from 2007?

Microsoft, Developers for Xbox One should just remain quiet and let the games do the talking after launch, they keep giving trolls something to feed off from. They should do what Sony does keep quiet and let their "extreme" fanboys do their advertising It's worked for them so far.

Xbox One and PlayStation 4

Great point. I notice that every piece of info they put out, even if it's a good thing, will be spun into a bad thing. That makes sense.

If the rumours of MS drivers lagging behind Sony's and not being real great yet are true (haven't really heard how their API is) then this shouldn't really be a surprise, especially given the devs will have less time to optimize with trying to hit launch date. As long as the games look as good as they've been shown so far it's not an issue, and we can expect games to get significantly better as the drivers/API improve as well as the devs learning the hardware better.

Honesty isn't a good approach? 900p for RYSE is fine and anyone who honestly takes issue with it is an idiot.

Yeah, none of the "experts" at Gaf even noticed the difference until Greenberg told them.

When it comes to upscaling media tends to look better if it's done by the device playing it rather than leaving it up to the TV. Still not as good as native 1080P but should be slightly better than leaving it up to the TV to do it, IMO.
