Microsoft on Xbox One Vertical Orientation: 'Do it at your own risk'

#11Ryan-06Posted 9/20/2013 2:31:07 AM
Comments on the article from other PS3 users. Which has a slot loader ever since it came out.

I've had my fat PS3 since 2007 and upgraded the memory to 1TB. From the start my PS 3 set to vertical stand point. It uses the slot loading drive. Not even a single problem and I have been using the PS3 non stop. ( check my profile and see the lists of games I have played ).

How many more excuses is MS going to make? They gonna tell us "Use on OAK WOOD TABLES at your own risk" next?

In this day and age, you don't NEED to be able to stand them up vertically for space. Or play offline. Or trade disks. Or play games

How much you want to bet that in the manual, it'll say something like, Standing this unit vertically may void your warranty.

So does the Xbone spontaneously combust if you put it vertically?

Also didn't people think MS wouldn't be stupid enough to risk yet another Red Ring fiasco? Well apparently, all it takes for the Xbone to (potentially) take damage is to be set up wrong.

Does placing it vertically void your warranty then if this is Microsoft's stance on it?

It probably just drops ejected discs from the tray...I can't imagine any other reason for it to be an issue.

It's so kind of Microsoft to give this advice to consumers on potential issues they may have with an expensive product./sarcasm Where was this kindness when they were ignoring the faulty 360s that were dropping like flies. They didn't care until the lawsuits started flying at them.lol Now if your Xbox One screws up from being sat vertically(WTF?!),they'll probably just say "We told you to stand it up at your own risk!"smh

Panello stated that Microsoft discovered that "we found, interestingly enough, that 80 percent of people, believe it or not, have their Xbox [360] horizontally".

So we said, "Screw you 20%."
