Why are PC gamers so mad?

If you're comparing to the Xbox One, no one is mad. Everyone knows this will flop. Even for console only gamers this is the inferior choice. Less power than PS4, costs more. Even the Wii U has more IPs coming out for it.

Yeah but they're all mario games.....

PC elitists says games are cheaper on PC, but everything they save on games, they pay even more than what they save to keep their machine upgraded.

PC have no exclusives, mods are completely stupid.

In the first year of the PS4 and X1 release, game will look just as good on PS4 and X1 as they do on PC.

Also, Performance is overrated, which is proven by the fact PC gaming is in decline.

I see no points in paying for games on PC. Convince me to buy anything when piracy is so ridiclously easy on it.

You mean running at 900p and 30 fps?

Lol... Tool...

Hotgamer would choose a Mazda over a Porsche because he can't see any of the tangible benefits of one over the other.
If your not technical enough for pc then stick to a plug and play system. And please don't criticize Mods if you've never had the opportunity to use them. Extending a games life by years is not a negative.

yes, especially when it's FREE ! *cough* DLC *cough*

oh yes.. free like ONLINE gaming because not everyone is a tool willing to pay for a service that's free on other supports (and yes, with dedicated servers too) ...ouch!

With the Xbox brand, MS asked consolers to bend and lower their pants, and most of them did. Kudos to you guys, it takes some guts to do it

I see a lot of topics where they talk about how much better their games do or will look on PC, and it's like yeah ok sure, no one is disputing that for the most part the graphics on a good PC can beat even next gen systems in some cases, but I mean....PC gaming is dead. I mean it is just dead in the water. So maybe Battlefield 4 and Ghost will look great on PC, congrats. But they aren't going to be able to play any of the next gen exclusives if they cleave to PC only. Besides better graphics on multiplatform games....what else do PC gamers have to be proud about? It's like, don't bash consoles when every other article I read these days is about how PC gaming is in steep decline.

Kinda like saying, "I love my gold plated toilet seat. It is prettier than yours even though they have the same functionality." I dunno, it's just sad to see them being so bitter about next gen even as their lifeblood drains away. I feel like I am just nodding and smiling like someone would do to a kindly old person in a nursing home babbling inanely while the entropy of time claims their sad, tired souls. You just kind of sit there and take it because arguing with them would probably kill them, so instead you just let them drift away into death all by themselves while you hold their hand and talk on your phone making funeral arrangements and telling friends and family to prepare themselves for the worst.

Lol, it's because it's the ONE thing PC gamers have to hold on to that is better than consoles. Since that's all they have they cling to it and spew their "Master Race" dogma like mantra on a loop.

yes, it's the one thing, aside from the superior choice of games, the relative cheapness of games (though you could put that into the context of the more expensive pc system), and the fact that a PC will do anything you want it to, Consoles play games and dvds/blu rays, Modability on PC is far superior (anyone who's played an elder scrolls game on a pc will sing you chapter and verse on that one), controllers versus mouse & Keyboard ( or controllers if you plug it into the pc)..

yeah.. one thing.. right. Hey, my Sportscar will drive faster than your hatchback.. same thing right? so put a faster engine into the hatchback and it will eventually match or better my car?

Heck, if you want a real comparison, how about the neverending march of mobile games versus all other platforms? far more interesting.

I just logged into to see 5 million people currently playing on steam. That is just one digital distribution system. Big box stores like best buy might not be selling as many PC's because any half intelligent person that does some research can find a friend or build a rig themselves. So the PC numbers do not tell the whole story. I will also purchase the xbox one and my brother will purchase the PS4. I just like games. I am a little disappointed in MS GPU as of now until I get further notice because it will effect the PS4 3rd party games and the PC ports. A more beefier GPU that can handle more advanced graphics and effects will falter a bit because MS invested millions of dollars into their camera that may or may not spy on people. Do not watch Porn or do your GF or BF infront of your console. You will most likely be giving someone a naughty little cam show.

You know, if your monitor has a built in camera or if you bought an aftermarket camera, Microsoft can spy through that. One big problem with windows is security. I do not believe that PC's are the "master race" until Linux gets a better following in the gaming community.

Just de-activate the camera drivers then. Its super easy. And/or play with firewall/router settings to block/give permission to software/hardware to connect to the internet. Its not that hard really.
You have total control of whats happening on your pc. Its one of the major difference between pcs and consoles, Better control of the system and better freedom on how you want to use the system.

And i find it funny that most people talk about Linux but did not have tried it or worked with it. All Linux distribution has their own problems, like windows.

PC went from $9 billion annual software sales to $20 billion annual just from 2006 (all consoles software is only $21 billion 2012). I think the relatively inexpensive upgrade now a days and longer gaming generations made it a lot more affordable, plus gen 8 consoles use the new AMD hardware that will make porting a lot less hassle.

Just last year nvidia alone sold more then 10 million card (abour 20% is new users while the rest is upgrades), PS 3 the best selling console at the time with 11.5 million sales for the year. To say PC gaming is dead is just wrong. it's evolving and is one of the fastest growing markets in gaming.

Also I think people that see PC gaming as expensive probably only see PC as gaming only. When I buy my PC it only cost 200-400 for a card. which is what it would cost for new console. I use my PC for a great many things and gaming just happens to be bonus. Do console people have to factor in their sound system and screen when arguing about what is cheaper? no but some reason they do when they factor in base PC costs.
