Why are PC gamers so mad?

Im a mad PC gamer because Rockstar just made over a billion dollars and still no word on PC release, buncha jerks!

I bought it for ps3 and will gladly re-buy it on pc. The game will be better on pc but I'm not restraining myself because I want a pc version. And a pc version is inevitable.

I couldn't possibly mod games or create gameplay prototypes with a console, but a PC allows me to do that as well as play a huge library of games that doesn't get fractured as you upgrade your machine, provided the communities support them. Consoles are streamlined products for the passive consumer, who will take this "closed" machine and pay others to keep the online service going. A PC is home for modding, hacking, indie or homebrew development, you can actually contribute to the services you enjoy.

I just don't care to be honest and I was a console gamer for 23 years before giving it up entirely. The consoles just don't hold up to my standards anymore and I've lost interest in them. Even their "exclusives" are not worth it to me. I enjoy building a PC, maintaining it and playing games on it and I always have that reassurance that I have backwards compatibility so that I never run out of games to play. I like to have total control over my hardware and the consoles don't let me have that power.

You know, in hindsight, the original topic creator was actually right. PC gamers are mad, I mean look at all the people getting pissed that others are saying consoles are better. Not that console gamers are not doing the same thing when PC gamers saying PC is better, but PC gamers are just way bigger d-bags about it.

If you guys are really XBox fans you should never ever make fun of PC gamers. Because if it's true PC is dying then it also means Microsoft will go out of business. It would be the end for XBox.

Yeah invetible in spring/summer next year, no reason for such a late release for PC when other companies release everything at same time. Rockstar just wants people to buy multiple versions of the game which shows how greedy they really are when the game has already raked in over a billion dollars. JUST GIVE US A PC VERSION DAMN IT!

I just logged into to see 5 million people currently playing on steam. That is just one digital distribution system. Big box stores like best buy might not be selling as many PC's because any half intelligent person that does some research can find a friend or build a rig themselves. So the PC numbers do not tell the whole story. I will also purchase the xbox one and my brother will purchase the PS4. I just like games. I am a little disappointed in MS GPU as of now until I get further notice because it will effect the PS4 3rd party games and the PC ports. A more beefier GPU that can handle more advanced graphics and effects will falter a bit because MS invested millions of dollars into their camera that may or may not spy on people. Do not watch Porn or do your GF or BF infront of your console. You will most likely be giving someone a naughty little cam show.

You know, if your monitor has a built in camera or if you bought an aftermarket camera, Microsoft can spy through that. One big problem with windows is security. I do not believe that PC's are the "master race" until Linux gets a better following in the gaming community.

Just de-activate the camera drivers then. Its super easy. And/or play with firewall/router settings to block/give permission to software/hardware to connect to the internet. Its not that hard really.
You have total control of whats happening on your pc. Its one of the major difference between pcs and consoles, Better control of the system and better freedom on how you want to use the system.

And i find it funny that most people talk about Linux but did not have tried it or worked with it. All Linux distribution has their own problems, like windows.

You can use what you want. I'm not trying to be a Linux crusader, even though it sure sounds like it. Linux is not for everybody, at least not yet. In the mean time, I will enjoy fedora core on my college laptop and windows on my gaming PC.

No ones mentioned steam OS yet? Steam box is yet to be announced as well (I hope). http://store.steampowered.com/livingroom/SteamOS/

well Valve is officially competing for the living room, like Microsoft has said they're trying to do as well. If the next announcement is a dedicated piece of kit designed to be plug-and-play then I think both the PS4 and XB1 fans will be talking about it more.

PC gaming isn't dead, it just isn't tracked the same way as console games. We have no idea how many PC titles are sold because digital distribution sites aren't counted.

Wouldn't the same thing go for console DLC sales?

Simple question.

If console games sell a lot more, usually, than PC games... then the DLC buys would heavily favor consoles and make the divide bigger.

Correct?
