Some quick bullet points:
- 6 profiles can be signed in at once
- 1000 friends, but unlimited followers (think twitter)
- 4 apps can be run simultaneously in the background (only one of those can be a game though)
- Switching games takes about 10 seconds using a voice command
- Kinect IR blaster is pretty powerful, and can control your devices similar to a Harmony remote

ONLY 1000 FRIENDS??!?!?!?!?!??! WHAT IF I HAVE 1001 FRIENDS?!?!?!?!?

MS why are u failing?!?!?!?!???!?!??!?!?!?!

Nah JK TC. Interesting read and I'm looking forward to checking the UI out on November 22nd. Lol at the people complaining about the ads. I'm going to be using my Kinect, also I have little to no problems with the ads.

Tile color theme customization like WP8 must be an option at some point. Start requesting it now so MS has the feedback.

Ads don't bother me. I mean, I use YouTube, Facebook and Gamefaqs don't I?

The Xbox 360 "ads" have actually alerted me to demos that I otherwise would not have known about.

Gamers hear "ads" and immediately have this knee jerk reaction that they're intrinsically bad. It's kind of ridiculous.

Can any one of you see yourself maxing out your friends list? I sure as hell can't. I like to keep my list short and with people I know in person or have good conversations with in chat.

There must be a LOT of 12 year olds in the world, because I'm sure most people think Ads are bad.

Why is a recommendation or the news that something has been added to the store a bad thing?

Either way, it only applies to the Home piece, and even then not all of it. You can have everything you want in the pin section and always have access to the things you use most.
