whats the chance that xbox one will have system failures like the 360?

#1Mindbend8erPosted 9/28/2013 4:03:52 PM
The first xbox was built very well and I never had a problem with it but when the 360 came out there were a lot of problems with it. Whats chance of that happening again. Do you think the xbox one will be built better?

It's very unlikely, Microsoft have learnt from their mistakes along the way. Look at the 360 slim, those things run smoothly as and look how many people got the YLOD on their original PS3's. Sony and Microsoft have learnt over time.

1. The people who make chips and boards say to have a overhead of at least 4 CU's disabled in case of manufacturing defects. PS4 has 4 disabled, Xbox One has 2 disabled.

2. Xbox One last minute overclocked there CPU.

3. Xbox One last minute overclocked there GPU.

4. Xbox One last minute changed there system OS and drivers to make drastic huge OS level changes because of customer complaints.

5. Leaked information suggest while the Kinect 2.0 has been worked on for many years, the Xbox One was only worked on for the last year and a couple of months or so.

6. They have been showing games off WITHOUT Xbox One specs hoping to "tweak" them that good later. These efforts failed and games like Ryse got dropped from 1080p to 900p, had there polygon counts HALVED, dropped from 60fps to 30fps, AA reduced, and lost texture detail.

7. They are so rushed they are only releasing in a small number of countries which they reduced even further.

It's safe to assume only the most ill informed people will buy these launch models as they are going to have more problems then you can imagine @_@

It's very unlikely. The first gen 360's were very poorly put together so they obviously has their issues. This time around it's looking like it'll run much more stable.

It is certainly possible, but as the others have said.. pretty unlikely. Microsoft would have had to fallen off the horse pretty bad to add another rrod disaster on top of their already stellar launch so far.

The chances are almost zero... Microsoft corporate will have done their risk assessments, and they will have judged the value of reimbursing folk against making a reliable product. More importantly, they have all sorts of mathematical economists employed, who can assess the economical impact of failing again. They don't care if some fail, they care if those who fail and create a negative brand image > those who continue to have a good experience. Never EVER believe that either Sony or MS give the slightest s*** about you or your experience. They care about profits. Fact is, Sony is better at garnering them than tiny penis is.

So are you saying that since Xbone is weaker than PS4, it was being worked on longer?
