could Microsoft buy a mega exclusive to sell the console?

I mean haven't they already tried this? Metal Gear Solid 5 (PS exclusive for so long), FF15, and Kingdom Hearts are coming to X1. They have been buying out people like crazy.

But if sony ever got titanfall or dr3 its because the devs love them right? You people are delusional. Even with piracy the 360 pushed more software. They are going to MS to sell more software. Take off the fanboy blinders.

They sold the software because they had the install base with a year head start and a $200 cheaper price tag. It has nothing to do with fanboyism, companies are just following the money.

MS doesn't have that advantage this time around, so we'll see how well the companies treat MS.

Microsoft didn't buy them, those companies want to release those games on as many platforms as possible to make money, they pay money to keep things exclusive, not to make them multiplatform.

NO ONE has that advantage yet, because not a single console has been sold...

Given how closely the X1 and PS4 architecture are, it makes more sense now than ever to release something multiplatform between the two to increase sales. It's likely significantly easier than porting between the 360 and PS3...

Funny how some people dont know the difference between sales and preorders. Vita and wiiu both had high preorders too

They could, but not fallout. Bethesda is too friendly with the PC crowd. Besides the last thing anyone wants is to see Microsoft EA another company.

Bethesda pays Microsoft a licensing fee to release games under Windows.....why would Microsoft say no to that?

People have this huge misconception about Microsoft. They care about two platforms, PC (the market they practically own) and Xbox.

Pretty sure you don't pay to release software on Windows. That's been one of the reasons why PCs are great for indies.
