PSA: buying X1 with no internet = ALL previous DRM still in effect

Does nobody remember that patches are also put on game disks? Every game should come with a patch containing the required firmware version needed to play the game. So people who don't have interent should be able to just put in whatever launch game they get, update the xbox, and then be good to go from there.


Launch games will not have the Day One patch.
The way Microsoft decided to do it, they will continue to work on the Day One patch after the launch games are going Gold.
Games launched later, maybe one and a half month after launch, will have the Day One patch included.
Maybe even the second batch of systems will have it already installed if we are lucky.
