Awesome news.

The biggest "kick" is the one Capcom takes in the nuts because this proves there is a viable market for a 2D blue bomber game despite their protestations otherwise.

The problem is people will readily back something like this in theory, but they're a lot less willing to pay money for it when it's finished. It's strange but seemingly true. People will fund a game for hundreds of thousands/millions of dollars total, but the number of people who'll shell out 10/15 bucks for it once it's done is significantly lower.

Their basis for saying there isn't a viable market for 2D Megaman is because nobody bought the TWO 2D Megaman games they already made in the current gen. You kind of can't blame them for thinking that.
