Is the Xbox finished after this gen?

Those things you listed will not make a difference with if MS will continue with consoles after the X1, if the X1 makes a lot of money there will be more Xboxes in the future, if the xbox division goes deep in the red this gen I don't expect MS to make a X2. If it stays about even then it depends on if they think another one is worth the R&D to continue and it becomes a toss up.

Sony is in a bit of trouble, if the PS4 doesn't do well there isn't going to be a PS5 and even if it does well Sony could go under from the other divisions not being able to hold their wight.

Nintendo will make a console after the WiiU unless they don't sell anymore units this gen. They have enough money to weather a failed console and gaming is their whole business.

The Xbox division is already 1 step away from being cut, as they keep replacing their Xbox board members (Puppets) for PR Reasons to try and make it look like they care.

Neither console is going anywhere. While Sony's electronics division has been losing billions for the last decade the company as a whole is better than ever. Remember, 70% of Sony's profits come from selling insurance. They are NOT primarily an electronics company or entertainment company.

MS is doing well also having record profits.

There are investors in both companies wanting to get out of the hardware business.

On the contrary, this might be the last Sony's console.

Their financial division is sinking down while MS' is as healthy as ever.

Truth is, they can afford terrible moves and waste a few billions.

Yup, MS sure is as healthy as ever!

Are you actually going to try and argue that MS can bring in a record 18.6 billion in total revenue and not be doing well? Their entertainment and devices division's revenue (1.78 billion) has increased 20% also despite the failures you mentioned. The revenue in their business and server's division has grown 13%.

So yes, despite some failures in hardware they are as healthy as ever.

nobody argues against Microsoft beign profitable

we will argue that losing over 3 Billion dollars to a division means that the *Triple H Voice* best for business move is to remove that division.

PLEASE READ!!!!!
How about people do a little research before they spout nonsense.
sony as a company posted a 13% increase in operating revenue and sales
financial division posted a 29.9% increase in operating revenue and sales
music posted a 13.3 % increase in operating revenue and sales
pictures posted a 3.6% increase in operating revenue and sales
home entertainment and sound posted a 9.3% increase in operating revenue and sales
mobile products and communications posted a 36.2% increase in operating revenue and sales
gaming division posted an even 0% change in operating revenue and sales mostly due to software sales increase offsetting hardware sales and the development costs of the PS4
imaging and cameras posted a 10.4% loss in operating revenue and sales due to the general state of affairs for digital cameras across the market.
devices posted a 9.7% loss in operating revenue and sales. this was primarily due to the sale of a chemical division and the difference from last years posting of a settlement due to damage from the 2011 flooding in thailand.

Sony is doing better than ever. almost every division posted significant gains. Im not saying microsoft is failing either but please quit spouting nonsense about sony.

So from alot of what i've read and seen via online vids, heres what i gather so far

processing power:
X1: roughly 1million megabytes per second of information
PS4: roughly 2.5 million megabytes per second of information

Reason being because of overheating issues, which Microsoft resolved by firing the guys who made the 360 slim, which instead of resulting in a better cooling sytem only resulted in having to lower processing power, thus the current standing

Price tag difference:
X1: $500(kinect mandatory)
PS4: #$399(camera optional)

# Numerous game developers said to having being forced into holding back many popular game titles and redesigning some completely because of the lower processing power of X1. In some examples other games are being released as only half finished, due to depth of redesigning issues

Online Features:
X1: Still charging monthly fee
PS4: Still offering FREE online gaming(as far we know)

Seriously im worried for the X1. Whats even more devastating is how much time and effort i put into achievements and such, i cuz i seriously doubt we're gonna see another console generation of microsft gaming after all is said and done

Hopefully sony will make a converter someday or something for achievemnts and the like

Usually people choose between false information and biased information, I guess you gunned for both.
