game DVR and youtube question?

#1kenpachi99Posted 10/4/2013 5:17:29 PM
When I get my xbox one I was going to post some video of games to youtube. Should I be concerned with copyright things? I ask this because once I posted a video of street fighter x tekken and the next day I got content ID matched by capcom ever since then I have refused to post video of capcom games however everyday I see people post marvel vs. copcom 3 videos with no problems. I am wondering about this because one of the games I want to post video of is dead rising 3. thanks for all the help.

Uploading to youtube is not available at launch.

Uploading to youtube is not available at launch as been said.

Also depends on the company that makes the game on whether they let videos be upload to youtube.

Having a ContentID tagged in on of your video isn't always bad. Basically in Capcom says to youtube heres some videos of our content. If you find something that matches this content put a content id on it.

Capcom also no can choose to do three things. Make money of the ads in those videos, gather stats on those videos or outright block them. Capcom has not chosen to do the 3rd, so you won't get in trouble for uploading their videos.

Here is an example. I uploaded a video of Mega Man 9 that I have. If you notice a couple secs into the video there is a popup. None of my other videos have this because cause neither Blizzard or Mossmouth have content id. So in reality Capcom wants you to post videos, cause it makes them money.

I doubt you will get in trouble for it. They will just pst adds. If you get a content id, just acknowledge and your fine. Granted if you are really worried about getting makes against your youtube channel, always check the publishers policy on the games first. However, like I said, I think your fine with Capcom.

Usually have to search. I wouldn't worry too much about it though. Its not like your going to get sued or have your whole channel taken down. More often then not you'll be fine. If your not you'll get a complaint and you have to remove the videos. Even big time youtube celebs rarely get in trouble, they usually just are told theres a problem and bring down the videos.
