GHOSTS ONLINE CONNECTIVITY UPDATE: I wanted to give a quick update on some of the work that has been done to improve everyone’s online experience. We’ve already mentioned dedicated servers as part of the overall plan to improve connectivity. Dedicated servers will be used on current gen, next gen and PC with Ghosts. And, in order to make sure that people have the best possible experience regardless of platform, location or connection, Ghosts will be using a hybrid system of dedicated servers and listen servers. So no matter where you are the game will always be trying to give you the best online performance possible. There is also some great new tech in the matchmaking system that will place players in matches that have the best combined overall connectivity performance. Again these are just some of the things that are going into Call of Duty: Ghosts to give players a great online experience. Can’t wait to see you all online.”

It's good to know that players on all platforms will be able to enjoy the benefits of dedicated servers.

That's pretty interesting.

Who knew dedicated servers were possible without "the power of the cloud"?

Who knew you could make at least one non-trolling post....oh wait....

I will try and see it from your point of view, but I doubt we'll be able to fit both our heads up there.

Not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, dedicated servers for all platforms is a game changer but the cynic in me is saying it sounds like BS with the way they describe it.

Yes... Also Wii U version is developed alone, so it won't be a port from Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 nor down port from Xbox One and PlayStation 4, so it will be properly optimized for Wii U. The team that is doing the Wii U version is the team that ported Call Of Duties to Wii that was like 20 times less powerful than Xbox 360 and it worked, amazing that COD:MW3 even ran well, those guys would probably get most out of each system.

Gap between Wii U and Xbox One is just a fraction of what it was with Wii and Xbox 360.

Project CARS is going to take a dump on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version, I wonder how it will compare to Forza graphically. :3

You are not a core gamer if restricted to handhelds/consoles from one company thus limiting amount of games, further by genre's and graphical style of the game.

Does this pretty much confirm that they aren't allowed to talk of non-Xbox versions? I had speculated on that when they originally announced dedis on X1 but it's really sad if it's true.

By "trolling posts" you mean negative posts, of course, because you don't know the difference between facts that don't agree with your opinion and actual trolling.

So that said, are these good enough?

But back on topic:
This basically means dedicated servers will be possible for all games across both systems.
Pretty good news.
