Is there a port on the back for a wired connection or is all Wi-Fi now?

optical out for sound systems. You'll find it on the back of pretty much any major entertainment device.

That would be stupid of them, I would never game over Wi-Fi. I'm also glad the controller will operate fully wired when plugged in. Wireless latency, no thank you.
