Xbox One may get keyboard and mouse support later (if developers want to add it)

So says Major Nelson, but there are no plans at this time, and it's Major Nelson, so we'll see.

Now that would be awesome. I'm not holding my breath, however.
As I was going up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. I wish, I wish he'd go away.

why not just kill off console fps gaming right now?
Games I'm currently playing: Final Fantasy 9 (ps1), Serious Sam 3 BFE (pc)

It's always been up to the developers to add support for it.

It'll create a large gap of balance between k/m users and controllers users.

Good idea on paper, bad for multiplayer.
Fingers crossed for Sony to enable PSN name change!!

You can already play using keyboard and mouse on the PS3 and 360. I fully expected the same to apply to the PS4 and Xbone.

Well you know... if they expect the developers to produce games compatible with keyboard and mouse, Microsoft will need to include a keyboard and mouse as a mandatory part of every purchase.

If this actually became an official thing it would make me almost as mad as blocking rented games.
