The new Kinect looks really impressive.

Of course people can be biased, but functionality is functionality, and when its at a convention, things are set up for optimal use and conditions... and it still didn't work.
yeah, my livingroom is set-up exactly like a convention booth, for optimal use and conditions for this very reason. it includes high decibel music from multiple sources and lots of flashing lights with hundreds of people walking by per hour, and most importantly, booth babes! oh yeah, and it features only unfinished demo software so that I can really understand what the finished product in an average gamer's livingroom would be like. makes me wonder why the gaming press gets private demonstrations behind closed doors in simulated normal livingrooms.

lol good response. Booth displays are notorious for problems. There is nothing optimal about conventions :)

A closed booth isn't an optimal space? Im sorry, but I was under the impression that they actually set up a separate room for this demo so it wouldn't get extra input problems from audio and visual? People took turns, and everyone I know who's tried this thing said it sucked... bad.

I've watched a couple tech demos on youtube and I must say they really improved the Kinect. I had a lot of fun with the first Kinect but it was frustratingly inaccurate. I really didn't want to buy a new console this year but I might have to now. I hope they have the games to showcase this technology.

It really doesn't look that good... several pals of mine have used it at conventions and said it was just as unresponsive, if not even worse than the one they already have out for 360...

The media says the opposite. I wonder who i will believe.... Hint hint. Not you.

Because the media isn't bias in anyway.

lmao

it doesn't look great from a tech standoint, tech demos all look good. Like the original Kinect. But from gameplay I've seen it's slow to respond and not very accurate. I'm sure it works great with Kinect only games like they usually do but they're not anything I'm going to play. All its blood-pressure reading enhancements are zeroed for advertising, which would make sense if they were to make live free with ads because that's what they're for. LIVE gold should have no ads. I'm only interested in its video recording capability and "better with kinect" compatible games

Its looks accurate, but the game seemed to have input lag. Hopefully they'll fix this as it looks promising.
