Good news, everyone! Futurama related and shamelessly reposted from reddit.

Major Nelson will suggest reviving Futurama as an Xbox Exclusive!

Ok, so who's going to start the petition to show how much interest there is in reviving this franchise? We NEED to show them this is important and beneficial or the risks may outweigh the potential benefits in their minds!

"In today's episode of Futurama, all references to Slurm will be replaced by MOUNTAIN DEW"

I'd rather see Netflix pick it up. They did a fantastic job with Arrested Development.

They didn't do anything but provide a medium for it to be distributed. All I want to see is Futurama to be picked up. I don't care who does it but this seems to have the most traction at the moment so I'm going to push this avenue.

Don't get me wrong, I have much love for all the others....everything from adult swim to all the great shows on FOX, but Futurama is hands down the most cerebral of them all. It can be subtly genius in its references and go from satirically hilarious to genuinely touching.

Love to see it live on in one way or another.

They were also the producers of the season, which is a far more involved job than "let's find out where we can air it."

Arrested Development worked so well on Netflix because they stepped back and let the original crew do what they did best. If Microsoft were to be the new producers for Futurama, you can bet your ass that you'd see a lot of ads in them.

If they pick up Jericho or Code Monkeys I'd be even more sold. But that'll never happen. :(

Can you use your time machine to tell me if robots rule the future?

I don't need to. It's called an "educated guess."

Look at everything that's already been said by Microsoft about the Xbox One -- it was designed with ads in mind, NuAds, ads on the dashboard. They even publicly said that they're going to use Kinect to form focus groups for advertisers, and sell collected data to them.

Why, then, is it so hard to believe that they'd use the second revival of a popular show as an advertising opportunity?

(PS, I took a peek, and the answer is yes. Enjoy the oil mines!)
