The internet as a whole is a big horde of Sony Ponies. Xbox fans are real gangstas who are too busy playing their triple a exclusives and pleasing their numerous girlfriends to post on video game message boards.

Who said no one can have a negative opinion? Its like you were pretending to respond to me half way and then you suddenly started talking non-sense.

My post was about the general inaccuracy of forums on a variety of issues, not just XB1.

You said opinions on forums do not reflect reality

A lot of people are biased towards Sony. Its called a bandwagon. The people who post incessantly are mostly people who ride on popular opinion. That does not mean those opinions correlate with reality however, its specific forum logic.

And basically saying people are largely against the Xbox One because it is the cool thing to do. The bandwagon thing is too often brought up when a large number of people agree with something that a smaller number of people disagree with. I don't think the folks speaking negatively about the Xbox One are trying to be current and hip.

Yet the bandwagon thing is pretty true. Try to argue with a CoD hater and 9/10 times he doesn't even know what he is talking about, he just knows its cool to bash on it.

This is why you go to forums and the least popular games are titles like CoD and the most popular are titles like Xenoblade or FTL and why the most popular videogame history ever is some random dude from LoL. Videogame forums are just a joke filled with flavour of the month arguments.

This times 100. Also why people should stop with the random poll questions unless you are guaranteed to get truthful answers, which you're not.

Sorry to burst peoples bubbles, but forum consensus means almost nothing in most issues regarding popularity.

People who think forum popularity means nothing regarding Xbone also think preorder data means nothing. Once the system is out they'll also think sales data means nothing just like power, Since Sony will beat them there too.

It's just MS fans that can't yet grasp that they dropped the ball with the one and missed their target market.

Yep, they have decided that the system is good despite the mountain of evidence to the contrary.

Popularity doesn't matter, the system is good.
Pre-order data doesn't matter, the system is good.
Sales data doesn't matter, the system is good.
Power doesn't matter, the system is good.

They keep saying the system is good, but what measurement leads them to this conclusion?

The fact that you guys try to prove something being good with superficial determinants already proves just how silly and uneducated the internet really is.

1)The Wii was the most popular
2)NSMBWii sold far more than Killzone, Uncharted and Last of Us Combined
3)Pre-order data says that the PSV was going to be successful
4)Pre-order data said Wii U was going to be successful

Who said sales don't matter once its released? Sales do matter. They matter for determine who is more POPULAR.

As proven by the above post, the general crap on message boards is just clearly flavour of the month logic with no relevance to the actual issues of quality at all. When the Wii was selling well, it sucks because "its just casuals". Same goes for CoD. When Halo sells well compared to Sony games, its because its "dudebros" want it.

XB1 has plenty of advantages and the closer to launch, the more the people who emotionally overinvested in the PS4 are feeling butthurt. The hate for MS started with policies that are no longer existent. They've lingered on due to sentiment but Sony has just been disappointing as of late, making it harder and harder to sustain arguments of any real validity. That you think those arbitrary data points which historically represents nothing as a determinant is just silly. This is quite evident if you look at all the arguments against X1 today. They almost never talk about any PS4 advantages and are all about downplaying X1 advantages or, like the above post, use sales data, which has very little to do with quality at all. In fact, its all very likely to do with perception, advertising and bandwagoning. Most arguments for the PS4 revolve around trying to state how X1 advantages are factually "not significant". Before it was "no way dedicated servers are free" and now its, "they don't matter anymore, P2P is good". When it came to games, it went from "lol you wait until TGS! Wait for Gamescom! Wait for secret Sony press announcement! VGAs!" to "ok, now lets attack X1 exclusives cause the calvary ain't coming."
