Is this being discussed over on Neogaf yet? It would probably start a 50 page thread where people dissect every word to "prove" how sucky the X1 is.

I was there recently they had a topic about the Xbox One's SHAPE audio and AMD's TrueAudio.

The XB1 presentation info has been circulating a lot of websites, I haven't seen much breakdown about the divided resources such as the audio block or much else though.

Here is a great video overview and breakdown of the XB1 hardware PDF.

So does this mean anything or what? I'm no specs guy(Going to learn though since my Major is Computer Science IT) so what does this mean?

Does it mean that the X1 could be like the PS3 this gen as to it's a little harder to develop for but still can produce amazing looking games or does it mean what? I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS LANGUAGE!?!?!?!??!!?!?!??!?!??!?!

It might be a little harder to develop for than the PS4 but the good news is, this is a similar architecture to the 360 (This comes from the head console designer) So any company who deved on the 360 knows exactly how to dev on the Xb1. There might be a bit of a curve for new devs though.

It's easier to develop for when compared to the PS3 but a little harder compared to the PS4. A couple of devs had said this about a month ago. Dice devs said it's easy to work on both.

Alright, so in other words it's just different and taken the likings to the 360 design then. Wonder if it's so similar to the 360 side of things then why are people complaining about it I wonder?(From a few of the developers) By the sounds of it should at least be a more modern 360 with a WHOLE LOT better specs. Which is a great thing.

Hopefully both consoles will avoid catastrophes like Skyrim on the PS3 though. As I personally believe that if a game is going to be multiplat then it should at least run properly & be as nearly equal as the other platforms that it can be on if it can. (Goes for all platforms) Why I still believe that Skyrim did not deserve those Goty Awards when it released because of the PS3 version. I HOPE we don't see any of that on the X1, but that's why I'm getting both the X1/PS4 just in case.

Thanks for the info.

Why would I be impressed with the Xbone's specs when the PS4 exists?

And why would you be on the x1 board when you should be in your stable. I mean the ps4 board.

Those 15 specialized cores, what do they do exactly. There are 15 special purpose offload processors that free up CPU and GPU.
"The 15 processors save valuable CPU and GPU cycles by offloading simpler and well-understood processing to hardwired engines and DSPs—video encode and decode, audio, display, and several swizzle engines that (we assume) handle image copies un aligned in memory."
"...To help with video, audio, display, and other chores, and to offload chunks of work from the CPU and GPU. Those 15 helpmeets also share the same memory as do the CPU and GPU."
"Among the 50 MCUs are 15 special processors that can handle things like graphics and physics processing. The result is a chip and system that are freakishly powerful and would make any PC gamer drool."
