what does Battlefield 4 use the cloud for?

#1soysaucemanPosted 10/20/2013 2:51:08 AM
I read on the internet (lol) that the cloud features won't be switched on at launch on the X1. Is the power of the cloud a reason to get BF4 on Xbox One? I am thinking PS4 might be better idea if the resolution does turn out to be a bit better on PS4 than X1 ....

I found this. Don't know if legit - http://www.gamepur.com/news/12495-battlefield-4-wont-use-xbox-ones-compute-cloud-servers-day-one-confirms-dic.html

So DICE says they are not using CLOUD as when they started production of BF4 all the policys for the CLOUD were not in place, and they want parity across formats.

NOWHERE does it say anything about CLOUD not ready day one.

Battlefield isn't going to use Microsofts cloud.

Same thing that will probably happen to most multiplatform games.

As the dev puts it:

"We're on five platforms, so we need something that's Battlefield, not Xbox One."

They use their own servers. Cloud will be on Day One for game saves, dedis for ryse and forza etc.

Well at least there's still exclusives right?

That is, unless you are going PS4 only.
