I personally find that a lower price and no forced kinect is pretty appealing.

I voted worse. I want developers to have the confidence that every xbox one owner will have a kinect so they will incorporate kinect features into their games.

Agreed im personally happy with kinect while it wasnt perfect last get the improvements will make it much easier to use no doubt coupled with the added development for it from developers will make it a huge pull for xbox one, ps eye is not a patch on it fyi.

Same. I would rather see an eventual price drop, but keep the Kinect in the bundle.

I don't like the Kinect, but the only way that the Kinect will ever be useful is if it's 100% attach rate.

Making Kinect optional would only help the xbone. Most people do not want it despite what fanboys will say. Kinect is not the future it has no future in gaming. Its only use will be for voice commands and navigating the Xbone. Also the Price drop will help ALOT. They need to slash it by at least $100 but I'd say more like $150.

Depending on MS's stubbornness I expect to see this happen by next year some time or the latest some time in 2015. Though I would bet there will be a price drop by end of next year for sure on it.

It's a real shame that my "and" couldn't be italicized, there. I don't see why the thing had to fail on me.

It wouldn't matter much to me. I want to see how well it works and if it works as it is supposed to. I also want to see how it will be used in games, but if it is removed it is really no big deal.

Much MUCH better!!

Because I'd go from not buying an Xbone one, to buying an Xbox one.

Simple as that.. and I'm sure I'm not the only one to boycott the Xbone if the kinect stays.
