Point to keeping my xbox360?

Hello.

I plan on picking up an xbox one upon release.

I currently own an xbox 360. I have had a gamertag since 2006ish with plenty of games/achievements associated with it.

I have 3 nephews who mentioned wanting a 360 to play. I figured i would be the cool uncle and give them one with my game collection.

With that said, all I will have to do is create a new gamertag for them to play on the 360 and then use my existing gamertag for xbox one correct?

Thanks

Yup, that is all you have to do.

Not sure about the title of your topic, however.
I came in here to tell you that you can obviously continue to play your current gen long after next-gen becomes current gen! And MS plans on supporting the 360 for at least a few more years.

As long as you know the e-mail address and password associated with your account, then yes it's just a matter of downloading it to your Xbox One system. If you have that information I recommend you format the hard drive to erase everything just to be on the safe side. You can transfer game saves using a usb memory stick.

Well, it's not BC.

So, if you want to still play 360 games, you'll need to keep it.

Awesome. I figured I woukdnt get much for it, maybe 150 with the system and around 50 games(since day one) so it looks my nephews will be in for a good surprise.

Thanks for the fast replies and apoligies for the misleading topic title.

I just found out about this, but the Games with Gold thing will go on for much longer than December 2013, so that's another reason to keep it. Fingers crossed for Deus Ex Human Revolutions. I hear great things about that game lol. I'd HATE to buy it, just for it to be on Games with Gold two weeks later.
