Not surprising, since honestly Battlefield just hasn't been as good as Call of Duty for a long time now. It's just playing catch up by trying to imitate call of duty.

Kind of sad.

Call of Duty and Battlefield are both guilty of many of the same faults of game design.

Call of Duty is just a bigger target for the frothing masses of hate-hungry gamers to throw their bandwagon opinions at.

I'm glad, I enjoy CoD more and I knew that Xbox would be the #1 place to play CoD

I definitely don't think that they're trying to imitate COD. If anything is trying to imitate COD it's the Crysis games. Battlefield is all about large scale encounters whereas COD is quick get to the point encounters in small maps. In my opinion they're both different enough to justify getting both games.

VG Chartz's reliability for pre-order and day one numbers is close to zero. Besides that, just going with what they have it's much closer on the PS4 side and I'm sure there's a lot more on PC.

oh please, Battlefield has always been a psuedo niche title, thats like saying a Tales game has less preorders than a Final Fantasy or some Football game loses to Madden

In terms of gameplay quality, Battlefield is better than COD. They've at least worked to improve their franchise over time. Call of Duty has been consistently running on the same faulty engine plagued with lag compensation and a ridiculous barrage of glitches and gameplay errors. Honestly, for the last couple of years, every "new" COD game has just been $60 DLC.

What struck me though is that you said Battlefield was trying to imitate COD. How the hell is it trying to imitate COD? You'd be better off saying this about Halo or Crysis. My god, look at those games. Perks, deathstreaks, killstreaks(ordinance drops LOL)... I sense another one of these COD fans that is hurt because Battlefield looks like a far better game than COD and many people know it.

How many of the COD games did you actually play?

Because it seems to me that you've barely played any of them.

And yes I enjoy both Battlefield and COD.
