does an average gamer get better connections on Xbox LIVE over PSN?

on xboxlive it's all peer to peer, and microsoft is nowhere involved.

on psn, for pretty much all the 3rd party developers it's the same. but, all 1st party sony titles run on dedicated servers.

as far as download speeds go, it all depends on your isp and current server traffic. for the most part they run the exact same speed in my house.

P2P is the same

I've heard some people have really slow DL speeds on PSN, but that's just from my friends.

If they are using wireless then its the terrible ps3 wireless, it will limit your speeds. Wired they are the same

Yep. Wireless PS3 sucks (for me). I get disconnected all the time. Not so with XBL. Wired, I see no difference.

They are both the same. Let's say you played COD on XBL and PSN. Both versions hook up to the same servers provided by Activision. They are literally the same. The only difference will be 1st party titles that use dedicated servers which Sony had most of on their 1st party titles. Not all of them but most of them.
