Is it too late for Microsoft to delay XBox One and improve it for next year?

If it can't do 1080p native for all games then it is a huge misfire on hardware.

Microsoft should acknowledge they made a mistake before systems are sold and launch sometime next year when they get their hardware corrected.

With 100% confidence. No console will do 1080p native for all games. That's not really something you can enforce.

Delaying the thing when it's so close to release would be disastrous. PS4 sales would beat Xbone sales even more than they are now.

Any company delaying their next major hardware a month before release date with their competitors release date at the same time would just be a big sign to customers saying "we don't want to compete, please buy their product first". It'd be a colossal disaster even if they could make improvements.

They delay the Xbone and Sony wins this gen period. Even the most die-hard xbot would admit that.

Exactly, just look at 7th gen, Xbox went ahead with 360 by a year and still lost to PS3. If they do that, Xbox one will be left in the dust, with Wii U in the distant back.

I've read that the lack of 1080 isn't the fault of the hardware but more due to issues with the OS. It was also said that sometime in the future, more than likely within a year or less, CoD can receive a patch as well as any other game should the developer want to.

Sorry, no source for this. I've literally read thousands upon thousands of tweets, forum posts and back and forths via other means. But it was a reliable source. I know, I know, doesn't mean much without some proof. But I wouldn't say it unless I honestly believed it. Nor would I make this up, especially now since I am starting to question my decision on this console.
