Has anyone actually won a console from Doritos/Pepsi?

I have heard lots of people that have won a PS4 from Taco Bell but haven't heard of anybody winning an X1 from their contest. The Canadian contest started on Oct 7 and has 12 winners everyday, so there has been 252 winners but no actual confirmation from any of them on any site i frequent. I am going to keep entering my codes but honestly I am starting to think it is a scam.

It's auction based and begins on November 5th in the U.S.

And there is no possible way Microsoft would run a scam contest.

You will probably start to hear about winners when the contest actually starts

Did you read anything about the contest before you signed up?

It's auction-based and you bank points to bid on Xbox Ones starting Nov. 5th.

Wait, so someone with 1,000 points will always lose to someone with 1,100 points? Why didn't they just do it like the Every10Minutes contest?

I don't think that's how it works.

I think points are like tickets. The more you enter into an auction, the higher chances you have of winning.

I doubt it's a "the person who banks the most points wins" thing.

Not changing this sig until a Halo 2 remake is announced.

When I won my 360, I banked codes for a certain time slot. If one of my codes was drawn, I won.

Now, it sounds like someone can bank all their codes and if someone else's bid is lower, then that higher number wins. What kind of design is that?

Sounds like you'd pay more for Doritos/Pepsi than if you just paid the $500 for the console.

Sure, if I bought 350 bottles of Mountain Dew. Right now, I have bought 2 200 point bags of Doritos and around 12 bottles of Mountain Dew. That's around $25. Hardly the $500 price of the console.
